Nobody at the workshop had ever drawn in pastels before so we started off the day with a basic apple using the shading method |

Then we moved on to use the cross hatching method |

Then a simple exercise to demonstrate the principle of scratching |

Before lunch Nolan did this demo to tie all the new techniques together and add a few more |

After lunch we all chose a photo we liked and drew our own scene. This one is by Sangmi |
