Orewa Childrens Holiday Program

Children will be encouraged to explore painting with Acrylics.

Children need to bring their lunch, a drink and painting clothes.

Workshop 1: Date: Tuesday 19^th and Wednesday 20^th of April
Times: 9:30 am to 12:30 pm

Workshop 2: Date: Tuesday 19th and Wednesday 20^th of April
Times: 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm

(Each workshop will be a different subject)
Children may attend either one or both workshops

Location: 471 Whangaparaoa Rd, Stanmore Bay

Cost: $45 per participant/workshop

Maximum: 9 participants per workshop

Finger Painting Workshop Feedback

Today we painted a landscape using only our fingers.

Although we all ended up with dirty hands, we had a heap of fun in the process.
Everybody was surprised that you could paint a landscape without using brushes.

Intro to Pastel Workshop feedback

Here are some of the photos from the pastel workshop on 3 July 2010

	Nobody at the workshop had ever drawn in pastels before so we started off the day with a basic apple using the shading method
	Then we moved on to use the cross hatching method
	Then a simple exercise to demonstrate the principle of scratching
	Before lunch Nolan did this demo to tie all the new techniques together and add a few more
	After lunch we all chose a photo we liked and drew our own scene. This one is by Sangmi

Boat	boat by Val. We all enjoyed the day and learnt a lot, but agreed that pastel drawing was a lot more messy than painting in oils [superemotions file="icon_biggrin.gif" title="Big Grin"]
