Title: Painting with Gauze
Post by: MaryAnne Long on May 03, 2018, 03:17:31 AM
I'm over the edge, this time. This was a watercolor painting that was supposed to be an abstract, but was way too dark. So I put gauze on it, then painted this lighter color scene. Totally weird, but I kind of like it. I am going to work more with this technique and see if I can get something that is exhibit worthy.

After I got done with it, I looked on YouTube and found other techniques.  Will try again.

It's so good to be back!!!!

Thanks, Dennis.  Not sure I like working with gauze, but it's fun to try different things.

I like how the curves in the gauze give the painting a feel of highs and hollows. This has interesting possibilities Mea.
