Title: My maternal gran
Post by: Abbietaya on July 26, 2019, 08:51:09 PM
Hi, i am feeling low and upset today/night, last night my little dog past away, she was perfectly fine all day though the warmth of the da6 was getting to her by end of day. It seems she just stopped breathing during the night l she was a king charles cavelier so short nosed, only 41/2. Before anyone says its just a dog please accept this i am your stereo typical single old lady who has no living family whose company is her dog.
A few days ago ancestry sent me a photo it had apparently been posted by an unknown 2nd cousin in the US. Obviously, i contacted him via ancestry and he gave me this photo. This idn’t how i remember my gran but guess she probably looked like this when i lived with her from 0-4. Atleast now i know where my unruly hair comes from lol. Decide to sit and draw this instead of brooding over my loss.

Oh! Abbietaya, I am so sad to hear about the loss of your beloved dog.  Our animals are like our children and I can sympathise with you having gone through this many times in my life and it doesn't get any easier. I feel your pain.  However, your drawing of your Maternal Grandmother is excellent and isn't that wonderful that Ancestry sent you a photo of your Grandmother posted by an unknown second cousin!! Well, I hope you two can get together sometime as you are family and no doubt will have a lot to talk about.

it's not just a dog. They are family. I am so sorry for the loss of your companion Abbie :'( :'( :'( :flowers:
It is great that a new photo of your Gran has found it's way to you and you have done a great drawing of her :yippee: :yippee: :yippee:
The photo you already had of your gran has most of the mid tones missing in the face which is difficult to restore via photoshop. Do you still have the original photo?

Abbie, I am truly sorry for the loss of your beloved friend and companion.  :'(   I even get misty about the strays, I do have a habit of not only illegally adopting people, I am the same with all creatures great and small. I have dog treats in one pocket, cat treats in another, and have shared  meats and lettuce with various other critters. Lloyd says it´s a blessing our rental has a no pet policy.  ;D
Just remember all those lovely times you spent together, the smiles will come.  :promise:      :1hug:

Abbie, so sorry for your loss.  I lost an 18 year old cat and felt miserable for a long time.  Still have her picture on my dresser.  They are part of us.

How great to have found a picture of your grandmother.  You have done a wonderful drawing.
