Hello everyone,
Hope you have a good winter! I have just finished one oil pastel:
It will go to an auction, and I will stay only with pictures and memories... It's a painting of a place where I was born (a town in a distance)... I will probably never return there... That's life.... :'( :coffee:
-
And one more work:
That's the church where I got married. ::) Heaven knows if I ever return there... :'( Looking forward to spring and art! :painting:

What a wonderful way to create your memories on paper, Pawel.
The first scene is so tranquil, and the church with churchyard is lovely.
:smitten: your pastel work.

:thankyou: :thankyou:
Winter in New York is a special time... But now I'm painting a doggy (dachshund), a lot of hair and fun ;D About one third done... :painting:
Greetings to all fellow artists!

Love your pastel paintings. You are and inspiration to get out my chalks and go to work with them again. If I only could find the time.

:thankyou: :thankyou: I should be done with my dachshund by the end of this week. I'll be happy to post it. Then the painting needs to dry and I will think about next project. ;) Actually, I have already two ideas I want to put on wood and canvas. :painting:
Charle, I know what you mean. :tickedoff:  I also have little time, which means that I can work one hour or less (sometimes only five minutes) each day. The secret is to keep going EACH day. ;) Another technique is to choose objects that are really captivating to you and they will pull you no matter what. :yippee: Could be your kids, animals, plants, architecture, religious motives, whatever you love. :gl2:
-
some great advice there Pawel :yippee: :yippee: :yippee:

Really very impressive pastel paintings!

I especially like the first painting, though both are lovely. The colors of the landscape and the pinkish sky are breathtaking.
-
Finally here:
The dachshund of my friends, commissioned work. They will see it tomorrow, hope they will like it. Technical note: oil pastels on wood. When picture taken, light was from above, so the top corners are lighter than actual painting.
:thankyou: for all positive feedback above :thankyou:
... and I'm going to start new project  white canvas in front of me... :painting:
Always a pleasure to share with PaintBasket

They will adore it. Awesome job on all that fur.

He's gorgeous :smitten:
Oil pastel art is not something I've seen often before, so I'm doubly impressed. I have a set of Caren D'arch oil pastels that I look at every now and then but haven't a clue.
-
great job Pawel. I have no doubt they will love it. :yippee: :yippee: :yippee:

Hello everyone,
Another work in oil pastels:
At the base the orange hue is just a reflection from a table. It's oil pastel on wood.
All the best to all fellow artists!
-
very interesting work Pawel. It has an icon style look to it
-
:thankyou: Yes, iconic style and simplification was one of my objectives. I was trying to find a balance between simplification/symbolism and realism. I will keep going in that direction from time to time... :heeha:
-
you did it. :yippee: :yippee: :yippee:
It would be good to see more O0
