Absolutely Annie. Wishing you the best for the new Year. :flowers:
-
Hello my Lovely Friends,First of all I wish all of you a wonderful, colourful and happy 2021. Hopefully this will be a awesome year and so much better then 2020.
I know it it a year ago since my last post, but I was ill that time. Luckely for me it wasn't covd, but what? they still dont know. But while I was recovering from whatever kept me on bed for almost 2 months, my partner got ill, very ill. He did get covid and ended up on IC for almost 5 weeks. After that he had to spend almost 2 months in hospital but luckely I was aloud to visit him those weeks. I missed him alot and was over the moon when he came back home...but it will take so much time for him to recover. But he survived and we could spend Christmas and NewYears eve together. He is doing fine, but had to learn al lot of the 'normal' things again. It still will take a few months but, little by little I can leave him downstairs to take some much needed time for myself.
I missed you all and I missed creating. But I will be back at it again, as I always do.
-
Wonderful to see you again and so happy that your health and your partner's health has improved. :flowers: I wish you a good New Year and a healthy one! Looking forward to seeing your art, as I always admired it.
-
Thank you so much Mary-Lou. :flowers: I am happy to be able to start creating again and take care of myself even it is just for a few minutes :coffee: . Not much but little by little I can take more me-time withoud being nervous about how my partner is doing. And starting with a challenge might just be the perfect thing, not to big and it should not take too much time each day.
-
Yes, it is good to see you are both on the right road, and that you can find a little time for yourself and your artwork, Riya.
Glad you took part in the live class, too. ☺️
Looking forward to your participation here.
-
Hi Cathy-Rose, Thank you so much for your very kind words :flowers: Yes it was just great to be at the live class, made me want to pick up and sharpen my pencils again. I absolutely love this new drawing technique, it looks just awesome :smitten: !!

Here is my little 'Ancient' drawing.
-
These white breasted waterhens look so much like small dinosaurs ( especially the feet and claws) that I painted this for the word „ancient“. Top one in digital, bottom one with water colours.
-
Ria, very suitable sketch for „ancient“
-
Thank you so much Gita.
I love your little painting with the waterhen. I love to watch them when they are walking over the leaves in the water, their feet are just so handy. We only have black waterhens, yours looks just gorgeous.

Very nice drawing Rya
Your bird is cute Gita.

The Poveglia hospital.
This small forbidden island less than half a mile from Venice was used as a plague quarantine station, or “lazaretto” at the turn of the 18th century. The tiny island is said to have hosted over 160,000 infected souls living out their final days and hours there—so many that there are whispers that 50 percent of the soil consists of human remains.
With a past like this, it’s not surprising that Poveglia and its ABANDONED structures are believed to be haunted, attracting the attention of ghost hunters and paranormal investigators. The island remains for now strictly off-limits to visitors.

So excuse me if I am a month too early.. :cost:

These greeting cards are „fresh“ from a Cameo. I had always wanted to buy a plotter. So, these are my initial trials. I can import my letterings from Pro create. So I am looking forward to do some creations of my own. I had fun creating the bottom one.

Wow Gita, these really are amazing :congrats:

:thankyou: Nolan, I am happy to read your comment! I am so obsessed with this🙄. It’s a new thing for me to create my own plotting files. One could buy them of course, but I wish to create myself. 😃

:thankyou: Mary Lou, I find the painting wonderful. It’s a romantic scene where the mind is gently pushed from everyday chores to vacation, warm days and loved ones. love it! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
-
Bill, you are tooooo funny! 😂.
-
This digital painting of mine suits “ treasure” I suppose.
One of projects is to paint the Hindu Gods and Goddesses.
This is Goddess Lakshmi (lit. 'she who leads to one's goal'), is one of the principal goddesses in Hinduism. She is the goddess of wealth, fortune, power, beauty and prosperity.
Here is a digital painting of the Goddess with blue eyes, which is rare. I intentionally kept this in the “naive” painting style, more like in olden days in India.
-
Thank you Nolan, Bill and Gita. I appreciate your nice comments, :)
Bill, I love your humor.
Gita your painting is so colorful and well done.
-
This is the best treasure I possess.. my Cricut Maschine with its endless possibilities.

Happy New Year!
I skipped the 2021 monthly challenges, but I had so many pleasant ours the previous year.
Gita, MaryLou and Brian, you all did so many nice pieces despite the challenges of our changing world... or maybe because of it. You really inspire me. I would like to join again for 2022
I do not see a new tread for 2022, have you started?
P.S. Great list Gita. I find verbs and adjectives very challenging, but its opens so many opportunities. If I add a lit of nouns/objects to it, ideas come.
-
Hi Gita, sorry I missed your recent posts. Thank you and Annie for the compliments. I am always ready for a challenge. Actually I made the list last year and I am sure Nolan would be fine with your list. Just start a new thread with your prompt words, and I am in!
