Louisa,
Your abandoned fire truck is fantastic. Such details as the windshield wiper and the lettering are amazing. Even your rust look great. The hose connection on the side of the truck looks so real.
Only thing that might need a bit more color is the front fender. Looks a bit too light to me. But that might be the photograph.
You have done an amazing job on this!!! Be proud!

-
Louisa you do good work!
-
Louisa this is a lovely painting. I would put a bit more dark value behind the mirror to push it away from the truck. Hope you don' t mind my saying so.
-
Outstanding job!
-
Thank you everyone for such nice remarks, Danielle I will look at the mirror. Maryna jy moet die lekker sonskyn van ons pragtige land Suid Afrika baie geniet, want ek doen.

Well, here is my rendition, since I couldn't find any PDF handouts, decided to use one of my own photographs. Since more bushes covered the right hand side of the car, I had to wing drawing the missing half of the car, so many alterations had to be made when things didn't look right! :2funny: I am no petrol head. What do you think, or where am I wrong?BBC embed code
hope this works this time, thank you Val for fixing up my last gaffe!!
-
Still no picture, I copied and pasted the brackets and all, do you think it is an iPad problem?

Here ya go:
Nice job!
Sorry I can't answer your question about the Ipad.

Thanks so much NCWREN. Really appreciate!

 :clap:Beautiful Fiona.

Tks Louisa, love all your pencil drawings you put up today, you HAVE been busy! : :smiley6600: O0 O0
-
Fig,
Love the old vehicle. Great rusty patches.
Two concerns, both should be very quick fixes:
1. The top of the fender on the right needs to stand out just a bit more from the mountain.
2. There needs to be something at the top of the car to indicate the rounding of the roof. You have it over the door, maybe just extend a narrow strip across to the other side. Unless, it is a convertible with the top down!
Oh, this is a really fine work! Great vibrant color.

Great job Fiona
To get to the pdf handouts - when you go to watch the video itself, scroll down, the handouts are below the video
-
Thanks all for your feedback. Mea, will attend to the fender and change the colour of the rounding ( it is white so not very visible from the sky. Also the rounding of the back wheel, tks Nolan. Am beginning to think I have lost it, but there was definitely no Pdf handout at the bottom of the video! :thankyou: :thankyou: :fight: :crazy2:
-
Just have that sneaky feeling that this attempt to post my painting will fail again :crazy2: :crazy2: :crazy2: but perhaps some bright spark can retrieve it for me. Does anyone know if it is an iPad peculiarity? Lots of work this one, but thoroughly enjoyable! ;DBBC embed code
-
Fiona, I think I'm seeing a pattern here ...... :detective: When you go to get the BBC Code, look to the right and there will be some letters and numbers contained inside square brackets. If you click beside them in the box, they will be highlighted. Then use your 'control C' and 'contol V' to copy it into your post. Hope this helps a bit, let me know if you still have any difficulties. :)
-
I'm just taking a peak in to see who's abandoned this vehicle! I see it's not son lonely after all! Great work and good subject there Nolan.
-
Well done Fig,
-
Thanks Val, must definitely be an ipad problem, as there is nothing other than the brackets shown. Will go and check on a computer. Also, when I post pictures in Albums, that is the only time the Bbc code message shows. If I go back now there is no sign of that anywhere!  :thankyou: :'( :help:
-
Fiona, you'll need to change to a file stack view to see the code. Hope that helps.
Anyway lovely job on the abandoned car. O0
-
Tks Bellarina, have seen that somewhere, will go and have a look! :thankyou: and :thankyou: again!
-
Oops, nothing again, found the file stack view and number, but we remain invisible! Think I am a lost cause Bellarina, I give up! :crazy2: :uglystupid2: :tickedoff:
Only a slight error Fiona. I changed your smd to smg, and took out the spaces on either side of the = sign. Presto!! You're getting there. O0
Cheers, Val
-
Fiona did you Ctrl and V your code in the reply box? I had the same problem in the beginning and then Nolan helped me. Wish I could help you.

On a computer now, lets see if this works. :fight: :tickedoff: :2funny: >:D

Nope, didn't work
-
I see Bellarina! I now officially give up! :coffee:

Fiona your beautiful truck :flowers: :flowers: :flowers:
-
My, my Louisa you are on a roll! Beautiful painting of thr truck.   You may want to darken the right side of the window. Look at Nolan's painting for help.
-
No Danielle this beautiful truck belongs to Fiona.
-
Louisa, nice job posting her picture
-
Yep great job Louisa, :thankyou: :thankyou: :thankyou: tks for the crit Danielle, will look at that.
-
Sorry for the mix up Fiona. I did get confused with who did it . :D Non the less it is a great painting.
-
This is excellent Fiona, be proud. :)
-
Fiona in reply number 42 you added the code correctly but it didn't show because of the spaces on either side of the = sign. Just remove the spaces and your image will embed correctly O0
As far as the painting is concerned - you have done a stunning job :congrats:
-
Thanks Nolan, will give that a bash next post, although to be honest, I think I typed that in physically (didn't copy and paste) in desperation!! ;D ;D ;D :thankyou:
-
 I should have read the rest of the thread first! Fiona, I fixed your code and left an explanation for you.
Just in case I forgot..... brilliant work on the truck! O0 :heeha:
