I can't believe I'm the first one to finish this?!?!  What a fabulous lesson, Dennis! I've always yearned to be able to paint the mist - and now I know how!  Any tips to improve this, please share. I really tried to do this as a paint along as much as possible...

Dennis enjoyed your lesson immensely found hard to keep up but half way through I just watched and then continued painting.  Any advice on my painting would be greatly appreciated.  It looks a bit too dark to me after seeing Sharon's and Tania' beautiful paintings .

Sharon, Tania, Danielle, Pinuccia and Patricia. Wow, Ladies, you have all done very well indeed    In one or two of the paintings the mist

just needs to be a bit more "see-through" at the top edge, other than that  O0

Mea, you are correct, they are now producing what I had hoped they would do, since some if not all, started from absolute basics.  :yippee: :flowers:

Title: Re: LESSON #94 - Early Morning Mist
Post by: dennis on November 11, 2014, 03:21:33 AM
Pinuccia, yours is OK. By transparent ans see-through I mean that the top edge of the mist is not completely solid but has a very soft edge with patches of the background peeping through the top section, like looking through a veil.

Mark,

Interesting piece.  Like the mystical look.  Great mist.

Oh, no, this is one of those paintings that have all kinds of hidden pictures.  Ok, folks, I see a dinosaur skeleton, the top of a cow's head (or maybe a dog's), a caricature of a person shrieking in freight (but not at this painting), the head of a Norse warrior at the very top-center.

OK, send me to my room!

Amazing work Natalie!
Leaf work never comes easy for me. Too often the trees & bushes look messy, at least, it doesn't look natural.
I love how watercolour is so great for mist though!
