Good job Sherri. It wasn't as easy as it looked.  I am still busy with mine, have to watch the lesson in parts because of time constraints.  Anyway, I am getting there.

I know I watched mine in parts too.  My husband is disabled and had a bad night last night.  He couldn't sleep so I set up with him and drew!!!!

Sherri,

Nice work.

I jumped back and forth to the reference photo a couple times, but the only thing that struck me that could be improved is the leaves.  They just need to be more filled in; they seem too skeletal.

Otherwise, I think you did well.

This is my next drawing to do, I need to learn every technique I can for 'misty' subjects. I have a serious challenge coming up so will be looking for advice from all of the 'misty draw-ers here. You'll get there kiddo, if I can do it....not just anybody, but everybody can.  O0

I knew I needed more practice with tonal ranges so remembered Nolan's lesson on the Misty Forest.  I can see now how important the darks are for pushing the lighter stuff into the distance.  Funway to learn this concept, Nolan.

I started out making a mess of the leaves, but finally seemed to catch on to the shapes.  I still need to practice making small tree branches, too.

I'm always amazed at how not doing anything in a particular area can end up being the focal point of the entire drawing.

My husband says this reminds him of the wallpaper in the house where he grew up in Vermont!

Nice work Sketch!  O0 When first starting to draw leaves it is a bit difficult to prevent putting them in 'ball' like clumps. I still catch myself now and again  :crazy2: . Practice is the key.  ;)

For me, the only thing I would have liked to see is just a bit more variance in the values of the tree trunks. Otherwise.... great job.
