Another lovely class, are those called Geranium in English? One of my favourite flowers. I look forward to this class.
-
I asked Nolan about it but he has not come back to me yet. I get it sometimes as well but when I open up in another computer it shows the picture
-
Yes Nolan the wizard. He will figure it out. By the way I also have the same thing happening when other artist up load their work on here. I can't see it.
-
Twilight zone
-
Dennis, I too am experiencing the same thing and I cannot upload the reference photograph or drawing either. When I click on the "Reference pdf" below the video, I just get a blank screen. Hope Nolan can sort out the problem for us.

Problem fixed. PDF now available.

:thankyou: Dennis for your speedy response. Patricia

O0 Slowly getting used to a new system. Even with a procedure it is easy to forget one small point - especially when you think you have it off pat and put the procedure one side  However easy and quick to fix up. :flowers:

Thank you Dennis for a lovely lesson. Just can't get my colours to match yours. Comments and critiques greatly received. Thank you. Patricia

Patricia,
This painting is enticing me to take this class. Looks like a fun one to do.
I love a rustic look, right down to the little hook on the shutter.
I like the soft colors on this, contrasted by the brightness of the red flowers.
Good work.

:heeha: Good on you Patricia! I got to see about 15 minutes of this....seems internet issues are still an issue. Has been on and off all night and this morning. :tickedoff:
You've done a lovely job on this, I'm thinking perhaps a bit darker shading on the flower pot, and look for the darker shadowed areas. Just a few tweaks and you'll have an excellent piece. Great work, well done. O0
ps... I know, I have to constantly remind myself to 'mind the darks'! ;D
-
Very well done, Patricia  Just add more shading to the left side of the pot to give it volume and roundness O0
-
:thankyou: :thankyou: :thankyou: Mea, Val and Dennis for your comments and advice which I appreciate. I shall do all the tweaks. Mea, it was a fun lesson to do and Val, I have a HUGE problem with darks. I must learn to "see". I thank you all for putting me on the right path and a Happy Easter to you all.

Wasn't that a fun class? I was all gung ho to get going, but have got to finish my fuschia first!! The window makes it look so inviting!
I love your painting.

:thankyou: :thankyou: Thank you Retta for your lovely comments. The lesson was fun for sure and I am just so far behind in all the work. Zayn for your lovely comments too. I appreciate you all taking the time to comment.

I appreciate it Danielle and please don't ever hold back on things that I can improve on. I am so grateful for everyone's help.
Robin and Cyril thank you for your kind comments too. I appreciate them all.

My drawing of the window flower pot.
-
looks really good Vidar.. maybe some lights and a bit more darks in the flower.. it looks almost all one shade in the image.. Your wood around the window is awesome!
-
Excellent, Vidar.   Agree with Lin about the flower O0
-
:thankyou: Lin and Dennis.
Yes, I can see that now. The flowers looks a little bit better in the drawing than on the picture, but I will try to do some corrections here :)
-
Vidar, you are doing such beautiful works with your pastels. Hats off to you! :urwelcome:
-
Nice work Vidar, i would also add some tonal value to the pot, darker on the left and lighter on the right.
-
Vidar,
I agree with lin. Your wood is amazingly good - great texture. Agree also that the pot needs contrasts to show roundness.
