Title: business card
Post by: sally13 on August 07, 2015, 03:17:27 AM
Here is my design for a business card and tag as requested Nolan. It took me all day trying to get it out of publisher, eventually I printed and cut it out and took a photo lol.

The background at the moment is a photo but I will paint the scene before the final decision.
I thought this name was good as it will cover most things Aussie, which is what I like to paint and it is available to register.

Any advice is always welcome, thanks

Sally--I really like this.  Very pretty image.  I made cards about 6 months ago with one of my pastel paintings and ordered through Vista Print.  They came out looking great and were Mega cheap for 100.

Cool - distinctive name.  Classy.

Good luck, Sally.

I did Vista print from a couple  of my pastels also.  Nice design Sally!  For your tag I would suggest a Title line at the top so you can list the name of the art piece.

I like the idea Sally as long as the background becomes an artwork. O0

What you will want to do is play around with the colour of the name - it is probably going to look better in white.

Your name and title - bold it and make it white as well to make it more readable

then on the top card :
1) the www.atgg (http://www.atgg)... part doesn't make sense, what is that?
2) I would drop the box around the name - printers do not cut perfectly straight (they cut all 500 cards in one go using a large guillotine) so that box is always going to look skew or even have one of it's edges cut off on the final product.

Thanks for your feedback on this Nolan. Here are the changes made to my card. The background will most definitely be painted as I am advertising an artist. And the www stuff was just blah blah as I have no web address yet. Border is gone

I don't particularly like the white. I still like the black one, I think my name stands out now with the white writing tho. I like the Yellow but not convinced about it. thanks

Sally,

I like the white print on the green leaves.  Looks classy.

the yellow doesn't work for me, very hard to read.

For now the black and the white headings are best. O0
