Nolan, that was an understatement, that this was a tough call.  Congrats to all who entered, they were all very good.

 :thankyou: everyone for your lovely comments.   I still can't believe that I ended up in the final 5 but quite enjoying the challenge....some excitement in todays life even if I don't win.  This is fun. 

They are all good paintings but I would choose 2 because I just love her colours she has used.  Well done!  :flowers:

Wow, great job everyone.  Different mediums looks like so it is a tuff decision.  Everyone did such a fantastic job it was not easy to choose, side by side comparing all the details and process of elimination determined my choice. I love the luminosity of number 4, the shadowing might be a tad darker due to the light source.  The detail on the leaves is great and depending on what kind of rose it is would determine if the leaves are glossy or not.  The background color made the rose pop off the canvas for me.  The petals and their detail gives me the sense that they are silky soft to the touch and therefore I have to vote #4 hands down as the most realistic for me.
