Thanks guys.
Mysti that link is helpful! I will however try and 'ground' the duck with some grass or something as recommended, possibly drawing the feet in first for practice from that link. Ahh the possibilities haha. I will also amend the beak!

Nice work on the horse and bridle, Mez.
Remember what we said about not being afraid of the darks! It's the contrasts that really make the drawing pop. Look at the original and yours side by side. Are their places on the reference photo that are darker than yours? (Maybe inside the ears? Nostril? Thin shadow under bridle?) Or just squint at the drawing and see if it there is enough range of tonal values?

the horse came out beautifully Mez.
The bridle may have been a lot of work but certainly worth it
