This is one of my latest drawings and i tried to use a little colour... Any advise or tips are welcome...

I really love your drawing.  You managed to get in all the details the color placement kind of frames the horse.  Looks very nice.

Thanks everyone..... Well i have only done a handfull of drawings.... All self taught......when i get a chance...
This one took me about 6 hours or so... i like to put in lots of detail so takes for ever......
First time i used colour pencils ever....was weird coz they dont really blend to well with the pencil... only worked where there was blank paper... but ended up nice....

Great drawing Hayley, can't recall saying hi either, so :bigwelcome: to the family for just in case O0

The coloured pencils tend to be a harder and more waxy composition than the graphite pencils, so they will "slip" on the graphite. It's best to use one or the other.

The only thing that I see that may need adjusting is the line running down the neck. Just check on your reference material to see if that line doesn't need a bit more softening?

Thanks Nolan ......i will have a look at my photo again and see what it looks like...... i did battle a bit there to try and get it dark enough......maybe i went over board....
hopefully i get some time soon to adjust...
