I have not submitted anything for a long time but liked the idea of the water mixable oils. Unfortunately I haven't had my painting gear for six months and this is my way back in. The paints are a cheapo brand but worked ok and I had to rip an A4 canvas page  out to get something to paint on. I didn't have the correct colours so just worked with what I had and made up a few so I could knock this up this afternoon.
All my previous stuff has been acrylics. Good topic and instruction thanks Nolan, when I get all my gear back I will have a decent crack at it.

Nice job on the Macaw, Toolman. This painting was a lot of fun to do. How do you like the WAMO paints?

Toolman,

You certainly did well with the Make-do supplies you had to work with.

Great background.  Lots of texture to the parrot.  Good eye.

Nice work.

Hope to stay around for a long time.  Want to see more of your work.

Thanks Steve, Mea and Val for your interest and time. Steve I am beginning to enjoy some of the attributes of water mixable oil.

Lovely WAMO painting Toolman!
I discovered Cobra WAMOs in my drawer and intend to learn to use these with Nolans teaching.
Have just started and since I don't have experience with oils at all, I am liking these WAMOS very much. Especially the idea of washing brushes with water.
This is my start. Nolan, thank you for all the wonderful information and class.
I am sharing the process of painting with you. All comments are welcome.
