    Wow! Barry, you are getting so good with the coloured pencils! Love the colours of the Rainbow birds.  The rope/twigs they are perched on is excellently done ... it looks like rope to me. Your background is so smooth too.   Absolutely beautiful.

 I love this Barry. Your drawing is beautifully done. The colors are so vibrant.   :smitten:
I have looked at the colored pencil club website. I am seriously thinking about joining when I get back from my vacation. They said that there is a materials list for each class. Are you having to buy different brands and types of pencils for each class?

Yay! Another CP painting, and this one is a beauty, Barry.  :smitten:  I like the way you have handled the blending and shading. How large is this one, Barry?

Thanks for the encouragement everyone.

This is a 11 x 14.

The CPC uses mostly prismacolor, and I had polychromos, so was frustrated as I did not have the right colors. After buying the prismacolor set, I find that I still do not always have the right colors, but I no longer fret about that and choose something close that I have on hand.

The teaching style is like Nolan's, explaining things as you see it being done, but there are many teachers, so style does vary.

After Rainbow Birds I feel the same way I did when I completed the eagle head in graphite. I'm just beginning to get that itch to venture out and do something on my own - ahhh yes, I need to settle down.

In a million years I would never have thought I would be at this level after taking Nolan's class, for whom I will ever be indebted to.
