:thankyou: Thank you Nolan for this fabulous class.

I learned a lot about how to use colored pencils drawing this rose.  :smart: I'm hoping you will be teaching more classes in this medium. This is fun stuff!  :yippee:

Great Kathy that you could do this class. The rose looks so good. I envy you a bit for this, since I have always wanted to use pencils, too. Did not know what to do with these. These expensiv dervent colour pencils are lying around idle. I shall go for this class someday. There is so much to learn! :crazy2:
Cheers, Gita

:thankyou:  Nolan for another interesting and informative class which I thoroughly enjoyed. Unfortunately, I jumped the gun  :crazy2: , instead of listening to your instructions first, I went ahead and transferred the template and included what I thought was required, so the appearance of my rose drawing is slightly different although the rose is as per your instructions.  My apologies.  I battled with my Strathmore Colored Pencil paper as I found it to have too much tooth and so could not blend very well with the blenders.  It kind of looks very "scratchy".  My background was a mess and I tried to smooth it out with Turpenoid spirits.  Besides all the drama, it was a super class which had me up well past my bedtime as it was so interesting, I could not put it down.  Comments and critiques are always happily received and valued.  Thank you, Patricia

:smitten:  I love your rose, Patricia. It is beautiful.  :flowers:

Your planning "drama" doesn't show at all.

I like your background. It is nice and smooth. My background is rough.  I plan to go over mine again as I just received my new pencils of a better quality.

Patricia,

You hid the drama well - painting looks fantastic.  The petals are so delicate.

:thankyou: :thankyou:  so much Kathy and Mea for always being so encouraging. I really appreciate your lovely comments especially after the struggle I had with my paper being so rough, even though it is indicated for Colored Pencils.

Kathy, pencils definitely do make a difference to one's work as you have found out with graphite Tombows, same goes for coloured pencils.  I have two sets Prismacolor and Faber Castell and I find the Faber one's so much more smooth to apply. I think it would be a good idea to go to an Art store and try different brands out before you purchase.  Wish I could have done that.
