I have only managed to do one CP drawing (or any drawing)  since my last visit.

Inadvertently dove into an advaced course and did not realize until the end!

This is Katie, reference and class  by Karen Hull.

Polychromos, CarandAche, and Prismacolor on 9x12 Stonehedge Vellum 250gsm. WIP - Thinking of Panpastels for the background.

This is gorgeous thus far Barry!  O0   If you do use pan pastels, please let me know what you think of them. I'm still battling with them, but am slowly starting to get an idea of how they work. Regardless, they are great fun to work with. One word though, when you buy them, be sure and get a pan or two of the colourless blender. Apparently that is why I have so much trouble with blending. Not many people were using them when I bought mine so no real info at hand. I'll be looking to pick some up as soon as I can.

Looks as though you are doing very well with the advanced course.  :congrats:
Cheers, Val

Barry,

I was just thinking of you the other day.  Glad you resurfaced.

The portrait is looking good so far.  Her expression looks so real.

Great work indeed    Take a look at the right eye. The top right corner of the iris is not rounded - it goes straight up  O0

Thanks everyone for the kind comments.

I will try and fix that iris...not sure how. may try using tape to life some color. Most likely won't get a chance to work on it for some time.
