OAL P&I Class 16/11/16

Wow, great class!!!!
Yes I tried to keep step with the master....he did a pen & ink wash, and a pen & ink w/c wash.....I sort of did a P&I w/c wash!
Here is what I ended up with, still in need of a bit of work.....
Great fun despite the technical difficulty, was just like old times in Grenada!!!

Just commented in the other section Val but it is worth saying again, you did a FANTASTIC job of the onion.

Thank you Patricia, I love it when you fib to me!
Can you believe that man? He not only made an
and turned it into an ink wash.....he then draws another one and does a beautiful p&i w/c wash! AND I still didn't manage to get the one w/c wash done! Somebody please hide that man's Geritol!

Nice job on the onion, Val. You got a lot of detail and great color for a follow along class.
I depend on that pause button quite a bit.
Not an option for the live class.
I would love to take the live classes. Someday in the future, when I am not at work.

Thank you Kathy, the live paint-a-long classes will always be my favourites...even if I can't keep up!
I used colours that were still on my palette from last week, not even close to Dennis' colours I'm sure, except when I had trouble and asked Nolan what the 'reddish' colour was. Turned out to be purple! A quick dip in the dioxazine purple and lots of water and presto!
These classes are so much fun and even though I never finish in time, I learn so much more because I don't have time to go back and fiddle. You will love it!

Dennis, thanks so much for this class. It was the best splash in a puddle I've had in a while. Lloyd said I must have had a great time because I was smiling for hours after.
Here it is 0325 and I'm still smiling!

I popped my head in Just as Dennis made an oops
with the ink and watched fascinated as he calmly carried on turning it into an ink wash instead, I would have lost my head at that stage,

I like teasing you Val 😘 You may not manage to finish on time, but heck better than not even starting on time like me... or not even starting some of the time.
Your oinion is great.

I was fascinated by Dennis, who calmly drew the second onion free hand in the live pen and ink class this week within minutes! Val has already commented so well about this class. I had some difficulty in switching my attention between Dennis and the funny chats of Val and Patricia. The latter fascinated me equally!!
This is my paint along result. Accidentally, I also had the same result like Dennis. My first onion became an ink wash due to the pen!I drew the second onion (to the left) with India ink and dip pen.
Looking forward to the next pen and ink class!

Win, one of the best parts of these live classes is that you see that it is ok to make an
and how easily the negative can be made into a positive.
Well.....easier for some of us!
I used my dip pen.... my india ink never lets me down!
