Wonderful.  If you are anything like my son, you will be tinkering with your new "toy"...Enjoy and Good Luck with it!

Thanks Maryna for the link to OAL, I think I'm getting a bit more familiar with what's what between the Paint Basket here & what's transpiring. Since I joined only last year, I didn't quite know what the story was with OAL, & have been more than satisfied to with what I have accessed here :)

Sorry just another quick Qst: If i become a patron @ OAL will I be able to access there all the courses/classes I have purchased here? Sorry if this Qst may have been answered somewhere, but I'm a bit slow at piecing things together (Old age creeping in)
Cheers Tracey

Tracey
Depending on the level you join you get instant access to the classes (HD for Silver and HD+Archive for Gold and HD+Archive+Selling for Platinum)
At OAL the courses will open over a period of time. So the first set of courses will start to run. Once those courses have completed the next course will open and so on until all are open for you.
PB and OAL are two separate websites so whatever you have purchased here can only be viewed here. What you do at OAL is only at OAL.Your log ins are also not the same, so if you do join there I recommend you set the same username and password. Just remember thought that if you change your password on one, it does not update on the other.

 :thankyou: Nolan.
I will have to think a bit on what to do.
1. I don't want to miss out on a group connection activity & the live classes sound beaut, But then
2. time wise I'm not good at scheduling a regular time to access live classes. ATM due to my work from home time, it is only allowing me to be adhoc @ accessing into my classes. Which suits me fine here on this Paint Basket site, as it can be anytime.
3. Maybe doing the 2 sites, but phew at the end of a day I'm so overloaded with Office admin work _ & logging into approx 12 work things, I'm just not sure I can face my down time deciding which to log into.

Mmmmm .. decisions decisions :)

P.S. Congrats on new computer - You look pretty chuffed, Hope it like a Ferrari.

Hi Tracey,
If I may... I don't think it is that complicated.  I choose and then follow a lesson on OAL.  When my painting is done I post it on PB where I can enjoy all the friendship and camaraderie.

Note that most classes are not live and live ones can usually be seen later anyway.

The weekly and monthly challenges keep me motivated by keeping me thinking about painting.

Hi Tracey

I am like Annie in that I am a member on OAL and follow the lessons there, submit my painting for Nolan to feedback on and move on to the next one. As I too like the feedback, friendship and camaraderie on Paint Basket  :smitten:  :1hug:  I then post here, most times even successfully     ;D

As a side note it is way easier to post paintings on OAL, but I haven’t worked out how to see when someone else has posted over there. But I am looking forward to when the new platform is up and running.  :)
Aroha! Lisa :-)

Me too

Tracey, you can think of it this way. At OAL you have already bought all the classes so can follow them at any time at your leisure. You will however have the ability to join the live classes when your schedule allows. If it doesn't then you can simlpy watch the replay at any time thereafter O0
