Materials needed

Dennis, just wondering if a list would be made available before the class starts in January? Just to maybe ensure I got the basics to do the class. Thanks
Also I understand that I must not use the same brushes that I use for oils? What should I buy then? (looking at the SA market)

Marynamo, you will find the list
HERE
.
In it I will indicate the very basics needed in the beginning and all the others can be be collected/bought in stages as we progress. It will not be necessary to buy the expensive brushes.
Brushes for your watercolours should be kept separate from the ones you use for oil painting.

You will have to run very fast to catch the proper time, because when it is 8 Jan 2012 at 3pm on the down side up, it is already 9th Jan 2012 at 8am here upside down

Friendly advice Dennis. STOP IT! Or you will be alone in class, everybody being too late or too early. (I gave myself another headache)

Dennis, I just dwld the materials list for the wc class and checking with my favorite art shop I see there are different qualities in paint, student, fine, extra-fine etc. prices of course cheap, fair, take a mortgage etc. I am aiming for the "fine" cat. Is that ok or should I sell my truck and get the "Extra-Fine''

Claude, Dennis talked about this under the thread "Free live watercolor painting". You may find what you need there.

Well Dennis here I am again with another question. I went online to get my watercolor paper. You said get cold press 300gsm 140lb rough. Well all I can fined is cold press, hot press, and rough. It does not say cold press rough. I am looking at arches paper. Also does it make any difference in block or pad? Maybe I will get this right sometime. Thanks for your help.
