I'm not happy with this, especially the dog in the back. Need suggestions. I was thinking of blurring part of the background with petroleum jelly. Prismcolor pencils.

Julie, unfortunately your picture came out very dark on my computer which makes it difficult for me to see clearly but what I did observe is that your dog which is at the back needs a glint in his eye for his eyes are very dark and his face seems a little broad. Perhaps he needs the dark "half circle" surrounding his nose and sides of his mouth to be lightened a little.  Having said that, you did a great job but wait for the more experienced artists to come to your aid.

Thank you Pat! I agree with your assessments. That glint in the dogs eye is giving me problems. When it's in, it throws the face off which tells me somethings not right. It should pull it together. I will try your nose suggestion.

Julie,

The dogs are so cute.

I think that the lighter dog needs more pink contrasts on its face and body to make it look more like the photo.

Patricia's advice on the darker dog seems good.

All in all, it is a good job.

Thanks Mea! Isn't it funny how i didn't notice the pink missing until you mentioned it. I'll work on that! Love these critiques!
