In order for me to easily find and answer queries about this Lesson I will appreciate it if everyone will keep these to this specific Lesson Posting only. This will also be of benefit to you as well in the future. Thanks

Hi Dennis - I just found this lesson that I haven't done! Is there an actual template or do I just print off your painting and transfer that image to watercolor paper? Thanks!

Sharon, there is no actual template as such. I printed out the reference photograph and then marked out on it in ink what I wanted to use.
When you watch the video you will see that I sketched the duck to the size I wanted it to be. This printout with the markings was then used as a template.
It was done specifically this way in order to teach planning and composition design, and not to rely solely on my templates.

Dennis, this was a great lesson and just what I needed since I have not painted since October. This took me quite a while to do, there is lot going on in this painting. Nice to get back into it again and look forward to your suggestions.

Very nice Marylou
I am a fan of the looser style w/c, and you've done an excellent job here. Love it.

Lovely sky, mountain and trees. Suggest darkening up the left embankment a bit and then blending (softening) the solid line (at the flying duck) where the lower section of the sky reflection in the water meets the tree reflection.
At the moment it looks as if the blue is only a puddle of water.
