Yes, I'm still alive, but not doing as much art as I would like.
This piece took me 8 hours. I would work on it for an hour than not touch it for two or three weeks, when some time freed up.
This is a 9 x 12 mix media 98# paper, using Caran D'ache Luminance. Reference by Julie Talarski. The lesson was approx. 3h long, but I only watched the first two videos, about 30m worth, then ventured out on my own. I'm happy with the results as flowers have been very hard for me - this is the first I completed.
Thinking about a blurred pan pastal background.
Thanks for looking,
Barry

Stunning work
Don't touch the background. Frame it as it is

Lovely to see your work again Barry and your Iris is just gorgeous. I would agree with Dennis and Val, sign it and frame it. Beautiful job.

I was just thinking about you the other day, Barry. So good to see your work again.
Such good detailing. The petals are so soft and delicate.

Nice to hear from you. This flower is absolutely perfect. Love the colors and all the details in the petals.
Hope you can steal few more hours here and there for art.
