Beautiful, you can really see the colour and atmospheric perspective nicely in sunset #3
What is the bush in the foreground?

Lovely silhouette photos. The middle two are the ones I like because the composition is great with the little "friend" at the bigger one's side. They balance each other very nicely.

The bush is called Baja Ocotillo.  It grows beautiful red flowers after a thunderstorm.  It has very sharp, long thorns that many people took advantage of and used to tie with to or make complete fences from the wood.

Please feel free to add these pictures to whatever collection you have for your other students to use (or for yourselves).  I would be honored to see any of them painted on canvas.

Beautiful pictures. If one enlarge them you can realy see all the detail . The mountains in the background are very

nice. A stunning picture to paint if you move the bush in the middle slightly to the left so that it is in a third of the

Thanks for the thought Dalene.  I agree that the Ocotillo should be off centered.  If I have the opportunity to head out of town I will take more pictures and possibly upload more.  I would love to see someone's .. anyone's paintings modeled after the photos.
