I envy your temperature Val. It's
here. Snow is falling, pretty to look at but not nice for travelling.
Nice to see you here. Keep safe.

Despite the wind and seas it is nice and comfy tucked up in the bay. Our days still reach about 82-84F, the nights are a
chilly 67-69F. The water is a lovely turquoise with lots of turtles and fish for company on my swims. Must stay closer to the boat with the water chopping up. Still lovely.
I've never been a good 'winter' person Lillian, don't mind the snow so much....if only it was warm!
Don't like the cold.
May go on walkabout tomorrow with my camera and see if I can catch some interesting photos for you. Internet seems pretty good so I'll have a go at uploading tomorrow. Keep warm.

I have to admit it Kelley...I have been a bit slack in doing any work lately, I did manage to get most of the outline done for a portrait. Now I must pluck up the courage to have a go at it. I did make a challenge out of it, so now I must keep up my end.

I spent 4 years in the Navy and loved the sea. Didn't care all that much for the Naval structure of the military but floating around in the Pacific was a lot of fun to me.
I do understand 'boat life'.

Thanks Rick...we just installed a new main and pack...2 full days work. Part of the reason our departure from Grenada was delayed. I swear I work harder now in retirement than when I had my rigging company!
Spent almost 3 hours yesterday just to get checked in with immigration. The line was incredible...mainly due to the time of year (loads of charter boats)...and the sea conditions.
Amazing the number of people that think we just bob about, sipping on pina coladas and cuba libres all day....that might be nice....
Must make a note for more free time in 2012.
OK Kelley...I'll post the drawing I started Christmas morning. It's my first building!

Well, we are finally off again. Checked out of Bequia and sailing for St. Lucia at 0600 tomorrow morning. The weather has finally improved a bit so time to move. We will spend one night in St. Lucia and then off Thursday morning for Martinique. Will be there for a few days and hope for internet. On the upside....they have a REAL art shop!

We arrived in Rodney Bay, St. Lucia this evening after a rather 'exhilarating' 12 hour sail. Took some snaps of the Pitons as we sailed by, will post some of those once I get them loaded. Will be off to bed shortly, has been quite the day. I'm getting a real dislike for weather forecasters
Its fine to be a bit off the mark, but honestly!
Will spin you a yarn a bit further up the road.
A minor repair and off to Martinique tomorrow morning.

I look forward to those pictures Val. Glad you've arrived ok. Hey, those weather people must have a right laugh giving out toned down forecasts!
