I love reading about Val's travels. It's such a rare experience to hear about. Thanks Val for keeping us posted
Have a safe journey

Hello All!!! We have been in Sint Maarten/Saint Martin for just over a week and I have finally found internet that seems to work....most of the time. Still quite slow but I'm online.
Will try and see if I can get on to the w/c course this afternoon....so exciting! Still haven't seen the first 3 but will give that a go as well. The few paintings I've been able to see look fantastic!
Cheers one and all, you are doing splendidly.
So much to catch up on, but will do my best as it looks like the weather once again will hold us hostage. Not such a bad place to get stuck....french bakeries....dutch chocolates....
and now PaintBasket!!

Hi C and Lillian .... mmm mmmm good! I look at the chocolate and pastries as just rewards after our hard push to get here. We had some rather exciting sailing on the way up.
I took a couple of short video clips which I'll try and post once I figure out how.
Having a new stern rail made as the old 'lifelines' just weren't up to snuff.

Sounds like maybe you do deserve a french pastry WITH lots of dutch chocolate! Glad you made it safely into port.
I'll take
cannolis with chocolate cream,
!

Missed another lesson, painted half of a painting, new stern railing installed, unexpected visitor, missed anniversary, caught the rat, burial at sea, finally found internet, still can't view video! That is what I've been up to lately! Are we having fun yet? You bet!
Running about getting last bits and pieces,
trying to get ready for the overnight crossing to BVI (British Virgin Islands). Weather is looking pretty good so we'll try and get over before the weekend. Maybe they'll have internet for the next lesson
