Thank you Dennis and Val. i did 5 coats of the back ground.   The only draw back is my glass I ripped the paper a bit so we will see when I paint it if it will show.  i usualy do not have problems with my masking tape, but this time I did.   See you all in the next class.

  Shame Danielle, if it is just a tear in the surface you can try rubbing it with the back of a spoon after it's painted and dried. That little trick has saved me a few times.

Oh, dear, I have some catching up to do.  I came to the glass an hour early, then went back to playing with the iridescent paints - then forgot to check back in an hour later.

  I'm losing it!!

Hopefully next week I will remember.

Wonderful so far, Danielle! I'm eager to see the 2nd session and to get started on this. My house guests are still here (such a nice visit--we have all known each other since we were 13!) and this coming week, Holy Week, will be busy, but seeing your painting has given me the extra little incentive to get on with it.

After much consideration, I have decided not to complete this course. NOT because I don't love the classes or the subject matter. Both are excellent. But this is so similar to many paintings I have already done, and I decided I needed to go for something different in my next one. But I am very eager to see what wonderful results you all produce.

Val I did rub the paper with the back of my finger nail before painting and after, luckely it does not show.  .

Here is my latest part 4, anxious to finish it, i don't like to put aside for long time.  Just the fabric to do now.

This is fantastic, Danielle! I'm working on the pomegranate right now in class 2. Got quite a ways to go but you're painting is inspiring me to keep going. Bravo
