Hello Ena        :bigwelcome: to PB ! Where in Ontario are you from?

I'm happy you found us and look forward to helping you along your artistic journey. You will find lots of support and encouragement here. Have you tried any of the free lessons yet?

I highly recommend the Let's Draw course as a starting point. Nolan will take you on a fun and fascinating journey and have you drawing things that will surprise and delight in no time!  :heeha:

If you have any queries or need a hand, just sing out and someone will be there to lend a hand. Welcome aboard and enjoy!  :yippee:
Cheers, Val

Welcome to Paint Basket.

You will find great instruction from Nolan and Dennis and supportive members.

Like you, many of us are newly-retired folks who have never done art.  I started four years ago at 69 with absolutely no skills or even interest in art.  Now, I can't stop painting and drawing.

Feel free to call on us for help anytime.

Looking forward to watching your progress.

Welcome aboard Ena!

One more Canuck  :yippee:

You will have a great time learning, the less you know the quicker you make progress.  I also started from scratch, like many others here, never having any time to learn and do art.  Now I make time every week even when busy to paint... and I stay connected with other members thru the forum, during booring meetings that I cannot leave.

Many of us are seniors, and you will get feedback and support from both beginners and advanced artists on this site.

P.S.  don't wait 2 years like me to call yourself an artist... do immediately after your first painting or drawing.  It set a positive tone and approach to your journey.
