Trying to catch hold of the spring in pen and ink and line wash. Photo courtesy Pixabay.
I am inserting both a photo and a scan of the painting. I personally prefer the photo. The original is somewhere inbetween.
All comments are welcome. :smiley6600:

Gita,

The line and wash is beautiful.  The pansies are super!!!

I like the top version of it best - curious as to whether it is the scan or the photo.

Excellent job, Gita!   My only recommendation is to paint the background a bit darker so the gorgeous pots and plants in front will pop a bit more.
Cheers,
Sharon

Thanks so much for the suggestion, Sharon. The Background is supposed to be an old wall. The original photo is darker with somewhat indigo blue to it. I am scared of blue backgrounds.  :-X Do you think it would suit? Or any other colour?

Thank you, Fi, Win, Emma-Lee. I find spring so energising!

Gita,

How did the person in India find you?  Be careful it is not a scam.  I have gotten such requests, too, but an artist friend told me to not give out any banking info so that this person can send send the money to your bank.  All they really want is your account info.

I hope this is not the case and that a person in India would like that beautiful line and wash.

Mea, I think this was just curiosity. You are right. I had sent this photo to a friend.
Thanks for the answer.  :smiley6600:
