Post your painting for June 2017 Challenge here.

1/ Post only one painting per person. Post only your finished paintings. If you need help, post it in the encourager section.

2/ Do your best to keep your entry as close as possible to the original Challenge photo. Please DO NOT make additions or changes to the subject unless otherwise stated. We try to maintain a fair and equal field for all entries from beginner to advanced.
Feel free to use the subject photos in your own creation BUT place it in the Encourager section, NOT in the challenge. Thank you for your ongoing support of these challenges.

3/ Any single paint medium may be used including; watercolour, acrylic, oil, watercolour pencil, brusho, inktense or pastel. If it is not specifically listed, DON'T USE IT! If you are unsure, PM me directly.

PLEASE NOTE: At this time do not combine w/c with w/c pencil, or gouache.
There will be changes forthcoming allowing the more advanced painter to combine these mediums under w/c. Thanks for your patience.

4/ When posting your entry, please list type of paint (w/c, oil, acrylic, w/c pencil, inktense) used. Appreciated as it may help someone with less experience.

5/HAVE FUN!!    :painting:

I found these growing in Panajachel, near the shore of Lago Atitlan. I love the colour of this one!

June 2017 painting challenge
This is my submission for the June challenge, done on Montval Aquarelle paper, 29,7 cm x 42 cm, 300 g/m2, cold pressed with Caran d'ache Gouache, 15 Colours.

I liked using the opaque medium. Wonder how this would look in WC. I am looking forward to other entries :smiley6600:. I would appreciate any comment to this.

:heeha: Great work Gita! Mea will be pleased, another gouache artiste!

My only thought would be if you could brighten up the purple a bit. Don't know enough about gouache to know if that is even possible so take it with a grain of salt. Regardless, it is beautifully painted.  O0

I'm having enough  :fight: with my w/c and the succulent, so doubt i'll get to this before the end of the month. I will do this one later though, I love the colouring in it and I really used to enjoy doing flowers. AND, now I can do them in w/c and/or pastel thanks to Dennis!  ;D

 Thankyou Maria, Aniz.
I have to play around with Gouache more... it's so different compared to WC.
