Mysti,

So good to see you succeeding with the Let's Draw course.

I like how you presented your work in stages., then comparing to the original.

My plan to finish one on saturday fell as short as Tyrion Lannister.  I promise I am not trying to make a career out of drawing berries!   :2funny:  I finally got both versions finished today.

I re-watched the video and heard Nolan say the compressed time for him was 2 hours.  Oh, my!  How in the world does he draw that quickly?   :D

I did learn in this process that I was trying too hard to copy exactly what was there.  Once I quit trying to do that, I was able to take a step back just a bit and look at the drawing as a whole and see what was actually there.  I saw the shading in a different way, and was able to start making real progress.  It was such an epiphany!

I am really enjoying the course. Here are my two versions of the berries.

Thank you Mea, TheresaM, Win and Val!  I still see so many things I could do better, but I need to take what I have learned and move on to the next thing.

That's the proper attitude!  O0   Most of us fall into the same pot, I know I am never 100% satisfied, but I am not as critical of myself as I once was..... truly.....

Mysti, I am so impressed with your progress. You are really learning fast.  :yippee:
Your berries looks great. Both the pencil and digital.

I just got my iPad Pro and pencil. I feel like I'm starting all over again using the digital. There is so much to learn. The digital is much different from pencil. I need to find the various pencil grades as it only came with hb and 6b.

Thanks, Val.  It is hard to tone down that perfectionist voice.

Thank you, Kathy!  You need to pay the 5 or 6 dollars for the pro version.  It has a set of pencils that go from  4h to 9b, along with a ton of others.  Don't let the subscription thing throw you.  That is only for the desktop version.  I found that I needed to change the size of the pencils.  The standard ones Nolan taught us to use I have at 10mm.  The rest I set at 3mm and use as technical pencils.  Feel free to hit me up with technical questions.  I am glad to help.

Thanks Mysti  :1hug: I sure appreciate your help. You have learned a lot very quickly.  O0
I bought  Procreate  for $5. Is there another link to get the pro version? Is that Procreate or another program?
