Lost Postings

I am puzzled as to why a couple of my replies were not posted after I clicked 'post'.  Could it be that others were trying to post at the same time for the same topic

Hi Liz... I've had that happen a few times. In my case I think its just the internet slowing down.

not sure, it rarely happens to me, but Sara was saying she had the same problem yesterday? Maybe try and see what happens (or doesn't happen) on the screen when you click post and the post never appears so I can try and figure out what is the problem

Seems like we're back on track.  My couple replies were slightly behind, but I think I'm pretty much caught up with most of you 

What is the difference between post and quick reply?

I also lost a large posting the other day when I wanted to backspace it disappeared right into cyberspace faster than the speed of light

Happened to me on 2 other sites this morning. Working fine here today....so far. Computers, internet...requires more fiddling than a painting!

I have found that when my posting disappear it's usually because of the ebkac virus 

Liz : quick reply is when you want to post a reply without all the bells and whistles like smilies and attachments so it saves a page reload. I use quick reply for most of my replies and am still able to add smilies as I know the short codes for the smilies already so I just type the short codes to get my smilies where I need them.

Sara : to change your avatar go to your profile page and change it there.
