Sadly another great watercolourist has passed on. Terry Harrison passed away a couple of weeks ago and shall be sorely missed.
It was through his encouragement that I painted my 'Boat on Pond'. Rest In Peace Terry.

Gosh! It was sad to hear of Terry Harrison's passing. Your painting of the boat on the pond is excellent Val. Your foreground trees are amazing - in fact, the entire painting is outstanding.

What a sad post to read, Val - but what an impact he made - I remember when you did that painting...it's just lovely and what a wonderful way to remember a special person in your life...

Oh, how sad. I also have one of his books. What a fine teacher and painter he was.

Oh dear.
What sad news. However we can't feel diminished by his passing since he left such a legacy which will continue to instruct and give pleasure. His were the first books on watercolour that I borrowed from the library many years ago... Maybe he's in angel heaven and painting spectacular cloud formations now?

Very nice that you posted a thread regarding the passing of Terry Harrison.
Terry was a great tutor and inspiration to many budding artists. He was favourite watercolour teacher. His books and videos stand testament to his skills and gentle persona. His teaching will go on and on.
It was an honour that Terry followed me on Twitter for many years. I think he enjoyed my rants! His wife Fiona follows me to this day.
Whenever it's a snowy day in winter or, a beautiful colourful summer's day, I will always think of Terry as I view the landscape.
RIP Terry Harrison

Tony, while this is a sad posting of Terry's passing, it was lovely to see you back and to know that you still pop in from time to time.
