Hi thought I would share a couple of techniques I learnt at the adult watercolour painting lesson I did Thursday afternoon.
The rocks are done by placing random wet colours then placing scrunched up clingwrap over the paint and leave it to dry.

Then the spray is done by leaving white patches where you want the spray against the rock, paint in a few place grey upward strokes. Then get some sandpaper and gently scrub away. The spray appears like magic. Lots of fun  :D Also scrub bits on the rocks.
We also played with salt sprinkled on wet paint, which leaves a grained pattern.

The spray looks fantastic. I will have to try that technique.  Thanks for posting.
