On Saturday, we drove to San Francisco so I could "visit" my boys - Mark and Gerald - the portraits I did for the Mark Hopkins hotel museum. Here are a few photos from the trip. I admit, I cried when I saw these fellows - and got a bit overwhelmed realizing that I have paintings hanging in a museum in San Francisco!! I can honestly say that moment marks the most amazing moment of my life as an artist! I probably stopped into that museum over 10 times during those 20 hours - and loved telling visitors in the museum that I was the artist!! Even more exciting were the friends who came to the museum after seeing my Facebook posts to see the paintings in person - one couple even walked 4 steep blocks at 11PM Saturday night to see them after a play they were watching ended!
I can also honestly say that none of this would have been possible without the teaching of Dennis and Nolan and the guidance and support of all of the PB family.
Happy New Years to everyone - and may all of our dreams come true!

Sharon, this is such a tribute to you. I can understand that you went to the museum a number of times to see your painting hanging! Wow, you can be so proud of yourself! Thank you for sharing the process of painting with us.

There's my girl! This is the kind of 'I told you so' I love to say! Knew you could do it, never doubted. Besides....I had an inside scoop! The crystal ball never lies!!!
The paintings look magnificent, just like the artist who painted them. Congratulations!!!

Sharon, I felt my chest well up with pride, just seeing the pictures of you and your two boys hanging on the walls in a place of honour. You are so capable and we all knew that you could do it. What struck me was the actual size of the paintings for one doesn't realise just looking at photos while in progress but seeing them hanging on the wall, just brought it all home and as I said, you have done a MAGNIFICENT job. We are all very, very proud of you and your accomplishments.

You are so right Dennis. I have just finished reading a book about that very subject.
Sharon, you have every reason to be floating on Cloud 9 because you deserve it for your fantastic achievements.

It was such a joy to see the posting of your paintings. You did a remarkable job with them. If I ever visit SF again, I know where I will go!

Sharon I am like Patricia quite surprised to see how big the paintings are. Well done on this momentous accomplishment.
its such a pleasure to see them hanging up there all framed and distinguished, especially after seeing them in their various stages of been painted.

Thanks Win!! While painting them I had to position the paper sideways to fit on my table because of the size!! Mind you, the mat and frame added quite a few inches too!
