    Gita, Nolan has given you a fantastic idea.  You should give it a go because you really are so good at these sketches.

:heeha: Gita, I second all of the afore mentioned comments. I have tried this type of sketching in the past but haven't been able to catch on with it. You are doing tremendously well with it. Keep on lady, you are a natural urban sketcher!  O0     :congrats:

Thank you so much Aniz, Dennis, Patricia, Val, Emma Lee!

I was waiting for my dinner recently and tried to draw this scene. I am in the Urban sketchers group in Berlin now and we try to draw on location and not from a photo. Painting on location is more difficult for me due to people moving. Well, have to practice more ...

Thanks Dennis! Looks like I am a loner with urban sketching in this forum. Nobody infected with the spirit of urban sketching? 😀.

This is today’s sketch. I did a course with James Richard on Craftsy. This is about capturing the energy of places. All comments and suggestions are welcome! 😊

One of my favorite cities! We've been to Berlin twice, one before the wall came down in 1973 and once after in 2006.

That's such a nice loose watercolor, I'm jealous.

Urban sketching is everywhere! I as in a group in Florida 2 years ago and I just joined a group here in Arizona last week.
Here's our first trip, to Old Town Casa Grande.

If you are interested in Urban Sketching join the Urban Sketchers Group on Facebook and you will see dozens of super pieces of art every day.

Thanks for your comment Brian! In fact I am on face book and connected with the German urban sketchers.
Maybe you could post more of yours sketches. I like the one you’ve posted. And if you visit Berlin the next time, don’t forget to contact me!

I was with the Berlin urban sketchers today in the plaster museum for ancient statues. I chose to draw Aphrodite.
At the end of the session, a museum visitor asked me if my sketch was finished and if so he would like to BUY it! I was so thrilled! I had to think of what Nolan had said, recently.
So I sold it! Wanted to share this information with you. 😃

After coming back home, I felt so sorry to have departed myself from my lovely sketch, that I felt compelled to draw this again.😅

That’s wonderful, Gita! Congratulations on your sale.
I have been sketching a little. Nothing worth sharing, mostly little practice things to help improve my free hand. I’ll post something I did recently.
