:thankyou: Annie! I really appreciate your encouragement.  Oh yes, I am excited to continue painting. Getting ready to start lesson 2 which is painting tonal values. It does not look as fun as the cosmos but I'm sure it will be a valuable class.  :painting:

Actually it is fun.  I enjoyed it very much.   And you will need it to do the third lesson... although someway into the third painting I forgot it was about 'simplifying a scene' and got caught into details.
Cheers, Annie

Everyone said dont be afraid of Water Colour so I tackled the  Cosmos,   I dropped paint everywhere and the paint blead under my masking tape  and its no where near what it should look like but I am intrigued and am now looking forward to exploring this medium further.   Thanks Dennis for your interesting and informative class  :)

Sorry its a bit of a murky photo

You are off to a good start with watercolor, Win.  The cosmos painting looks good.

My worst beginner's mistake with this painting was when I mistakenly used oil paint for the white and all the other colors were WC.  Fun thing is - it came out really well.

Great job Win. You know, it amazes me how you newcomers to w/c manage to paint this without any cauliflowers!  :D    ;D
