Nolan/Dennis. Should I put a year under my signature on my paintings?

I just came from the framer and he said I should date them, but feel I don't want to. What do you say?

Can I not put a date on the inside. Of the stretcher bars or on the back of the canvas?

Maryna, I believe it is a matter of preference. I usually put the date and any other pertinent information about the painting on the back, such as where it was painted, etc.      That's my two pence!  ;D

Val ,& Zilpa,  I like both of your methods and shall put them to use in future.

Maryna, glad you enquired about dating a picture.  :thankyou:
