So good news/bad news. The bad news is the client changed her mind and now doesn't want this painting since it's a watercolor that's framed. She wants a painting on canvas. The good news is the gallery is having a show in January called "A Sense of Place", and has chosen this painting to be one of the paintings in the exhibit!
Cheers,
Sharon

Looks like the story will have a happy ending, Sharon.  Bottom line is that you still have a gallery owner who is interested in your work.

:heeha: Congratulations Sharon! All things happen for a reason.  O0    That's quite the deal when a gallery approaches you for a painting.... most of us have to chase around the galleries searching for a place.

    Sharon, that is wonderful news and I know that initially we feel dejected when something goes wrong. However, we must never lose sight of the fact that within every adversity, there is a seed of an equivalent or greater benefit, which is proof of what has just happened to you. Better and bigger things are to come girl, just keep believing.

:thankyou: Mea, Val and Patricia!! I dropped off the painting to the gallery today and she asked if she could sell my Wine Rush coasters during the February/Valentine's Day period. Also, she wants me to submit my painting of "Wine Tasting, Anyone" (the one with the 3 bottles of wine sticking out of the barrel with the wine pouring from them) for her February show. So yes Val, it feels AMAZING to have a gallery come to me!!!

So Mea - there is a happy ending!
Patricia - I always will remind myself of your words below when faced with a challenge - that good things will come forth in the midst of the not so good. Thank you for reminding me of that!
Cheers,
Sharon

Now this is exciting - my painting was chosen to be the featured art on the postcard promoting the first show of the year for a local gallery, CK Art!
Cheers,
Sharon
