Sitting in a narrow plane seat, flying over the clouds, wastin' time....
This is a completely digitally drawn painting on my iPad on a long distance flight.
All comments are welcome.

Gita,

What a fabulous way to spend your flight time.

I have no idea how you did it, but it is marvelously done.  Magical and playful with vivid color.

I am happy to hear your comments Mea, Val.
Dennis, I am joking of course. If I had the choice, I would start a project with real paints and brushes. But you are absolutely right, not only this digital software needs to be mastered but also this endless time in the flight. Actually, I am geographically closer to you now, I reached Bali safely. I love this artistic place so much.  :D. Hope Agung does not grumble too much.

Thanks for your concern, Mea. I shall try my best.
Yes I shall post fotos, Val. Ubud is the town with artists where one should go and I am passing through.  Met a local artist yesterday who teaches a special traditional painting technique for children. You have to have very good eyes for this sort of painting, I believe.  They use refillable  micron pens from Japan for this. I bought this Goddess painting done by a 12 year old.

Attaching one of my first travel water colours.  This is a Dwarapala ( A Dvarapala or "door guard", a gate guardian often portrayed as a warrior or fearsome giant. The dvarapala statue is a widespread architectural element throughout Hindu and Buddhist cultures, as well as in areas influenced by them like Bali. )

Well, that door guard sure would scare me away!  Nice job, Gita.

Amazing work on the Goddess by a 12-year old.

Enjoy your travels!

I don't know Mea, that door guard seems to have a smile!  ;)

Brilliant work on the goddess painting, especially so for 12 years of age.

Have a lovely time and make lots of w/c sketches!

Haha, Mea, Val. This door guard would have been suitable for the Oktober challenge. Another winner, I suppose. These figures are everywhere. Of course not all are scary. I chose to paint this since this was so impressive. :D
