  • Failure is not falling down, but staying down.

It's been over two years since I painted the seashell (my first oil painting).  I am a bit concerned about what I just did.  I applied a coat of varnish over the painting, but the paint was dull.  I read, after the fact, that it is not advisable to use varnish to bring luster back.  I should have "oiled out" with a medium instead.  My question is whether the painting is in danger or will it be okay?
