My granddaughter asked me to draw a picture of her when she was visiting before Christmas. she is 8yrs old.
This has taken a few goes and every time i look at the drawing I find something else I need to alter.  The only way this drawing came anywhere close to resembling the photo was the use of grid lines. The shadows are darker than they look, but my Samsung notepad doesn't takegood photos. So i have sent a copy via email to her as she lives in Queensland. I am tired now and need to stop.

Very nicely done Teresa. Just remember to keep a lookout and make sure the iris and pupil are as perfectly round as possible. Great job.

Thanks Val I will fix this. I have rubbed out so many times that I didn't notice that I stuffed the eyes up.  :idiot2:

Teresa

Such a lovely young girl.  You have done a fine job on capturing her spirit.

My eye was drawn to the tip of her nose.  Your drawing shows it a bit V shaped where the reference shows it more flat between the nostrils.  Looks like a simple fix and should make the likeness truer.

What a compliment for your granddaughter to ask you to do this for her.

Well done!you have captured the likeness.A small correction upwards on the right side of the mouth would further enhance that.Your granddaughter is one lucky girl!

What a good likeness. Those little suggestions given, I only noticed after being pointed out. Made me look at lot closer and thought, maybe soften her right ear?

I think I have tackled all the changes suggested.
Don't think my paper can take any more erasing as the electric eraser I used this time is making groves   :D
