Ilinca,
You are off to a good start for a beginner. Your building looks good. Your sky and landscape have too many solid lines. A few lessons on landscapes and skies and you'll do fine in the future. I know from my own experience!

Mea,
Your advice is very welcome.
The first lesson I enjoyed encouragement. Precious is now reporting errors.

Illinca, for a beginner you have done a banner job, especially the house

Excellent job Illinca
You've really cottoned the idea of the tonal ranges, the house is superb, and the trees are far better than my beginnings!
You are doing very well, keep practicing

I did this awhile ago and just found it on my computer. I must admit I was clueless about the different tones in a picture until I took this class. Very helpful.

Ilinca, you did a marvelous job on the building. The lights and shadows are done so well. Almost looks like a photograph. Way to go.

Very good value painting, Kris
I have just one concern: On the top right side of the house there are two very straight lines in the background foliage. Soften these lines away as there are very seldom straight line in nature. It also makes that triangular patch to look part of the house. Do this and please repost without deleting the one you have up already so we can see and compare the result.

Dennis, I hope I understood your corrections you mentioned. I have worked on it for awhile and this is the result. Hopefully you can see the field now as a field. Thank you.
