Carrot,

Nice work on the berries.  You are off to a great start.  Nice highlights on the berries, but could use more darks on the leaves (like in the deepest parts of the veins).

I was never happy with the veins on my leaves.  After I posted it I had time to actually
read some posts in this forum. I saw one in which Nolan  suggests lay down light graphite on the entire leaf then erase out the highlights then add the darks. I gave myself a mental head slap, my veins would of looked so much more natural.  :thankyou: Carrot

Carrot,

That's what learning is all about!!  Nolan is the "smudge" master.  One of the best lessons I ever learned.

Well done Carro!  You still managed to show some good dimension in the leaves, the extra darks will just enhance it that much more.

you have done a great job Donnie

I especially like the leaves and the cast shadows, they have/give fabulous depth.

I feel that you can still continue to shade the berries to increase the contrast between the highlight and the shadow side O0

Lot's of fits and starts on this. Sometimes you just need to take what you've learned, and move on to the next thing. I did learn a lot doing this drawing. 8)

Donnie,

Nice job on the rock planes.  Such smooth transitions in your values.

Oh, cross-hatching will be fun.  I love the little teddy bear.
