Thanks,
That was my second attempt! First one I drew too small and then got something greasy on the paper. Second time was much better.

Nice to know that I am not the only one who battles Brian. I will probably also do this one again for nothing is going right with it.

Are you using watercolors Patricia?
Oils and acrylics you can paint over but watercolors you just have to pull out another sheet of paper and start over!

No Brian, I am trying this one with acrylics but am not too comfortable with the medium yet.  I am more used to watercolours. Anyway, I haven't given up yet and shall persevere. Hold thumbs!!  :2funny:

Love the sky.

Very nice painting Bill but I would like to remind you of the rules.

Do your best to keep your entry as close as possible to the original Challenge photo. Please DO NOT make additions to the subject unless otherwise stated. We try to maintain a fair and equal field for all entries from beginner to advanced.

Thanks Brian

For some reason I  can't see Bill's  entry. I did see it a few days earlier. (BUT it might be my notepad as I have to put in my password twice lately before it recognises me).
Good entry Brian

Bill please do repost your beautiful painting in the encourager section as it IS a really great artistic rendition of the picture.
The challenge rules are, I believe, there to keep everyone, of all skill levels, starting form a common point. They were there before I joined PB.
I admire how you used your imagination to bring out the spirit of the sailboat in the scene.

 Brian, great color combination, I like the loose style you chose to render your painting.
