I will try to do something more with the picture of the cabbage ( March Challenge).
This time something with flamingos.
This is just the first sketch I made. I hope to develop it more in the direction that you can recognise
flamingos in it. :'(

It looks like you are having fun with that cabbage, Dirk!
The flamingoes are developing well.
Looking forward to your end result.
Cathy-Rose.

Very cool Dirk!  :heeha:      Who knew a cabbage could be so inspiring! Makes one look at veggies in a whole new light!  :detective:      :2funny:

Your 'cabbage patch' creations are really quite beautiful.
Cheers, Val

Thanks Val,

It is very funny to experiment a bit. With this one I had no clear idea what is would become.
It certainly aren't flamengos.

 Definitely no flamingos...  I'm getting more of an under the sea vibe. Stingray, jellyfish, swordfish, and other fish.... but wait, I'm also seeing a little lizard like my night time gecko buddy, mongoose, and a few snakelike critters! This is like a montage of my sailing life!  :heeha:

I think this is what makes abstractions so interesting. Each person tends to see things that relate to them. Well done you!

Thanks Val. I hadn't thought of underwater life, probably because here it is not so colourful under water as at your place. But it is a good suggestion, I think I will keep the gellyfish. My idea now is to keep bits and pieces of the different versions I made and put them together in one bigger painting.  :painting:

Dirk,

I'm thinking umbilical cords, so I will just stop thinking for now.

I love the colors, though.

Thanks Mea. You are right, it does look a bit creepy, but I thoight that made a nice contrast with the bright colours.
