Hi Sharon, you've done well with this, if you soften up the wrinkles and creases in the skin it will help.

Great job.
You do have a talent for portraits.   :flowers:

I think her ear on left side (ie looking at the painting),  needs to be a bit smaller.
Her top lip has a lovely dip in the middle which you should be able to add. Plus more shading on left side around mouth.
Also her chin has a nice dip in the middle and more rounded edges
Hope this helps.

Great job, just a couple of recommendations. The lip colour seems just a bit too prominent, perhaps soften it down a bit. A little extra shaping of the top lip. The section of hair above her left eye looks a bit like cornrows, just blend them out a wee bit. Her right ear lobe is a bit too big, if you check the reference I think you'll see there is less ear lobe and a bit more hair.

The only other thing I would consider changing is the background colour, maybe just lighten it up. That I'll leave with you.

You will have an excellent painting when done.  O0

If given directions by the client, always best to follow unless it's a terrible idea. Since the lipstick is only a slight deviation from the photo I think she'll be happy with it then. If the client is happy that is what counts.   O0

Fantastic Sharon.
We all give suggestions and I know it's not easy making changes to a watercolour painting as it is to other mediums.
