What a great remembrance for the erstwhile fisherman, Bert.  You are so thoughtful.

It is so well done.  Probably most artists would have made a black fishing rod.  You chose white and it really is noticeable.  Did you use masking fluid or paint it on after doing the sea and sky?

Mea I painted the white over and it and added the black(rings) to complete the illusion of a rod
