Thanks mea! I agree, the mountains really needed something... but I sort of ran short of paint!!

Try to always look for the areas where you can deepen the darks. Keep in mind your light source, and look for those shadow areas. Dark against light will give you dimension in your painting and really make it pop.
The same applies to your drawings. Values and shadings will make or break your art piece.

What you can do to get them even smoother is to use a clean dry brush for the final blending, then use a gentle criss crossing motion O0

Your painting looks lovely Rachel. One thing I found when I started with oils after using acrylics is that you need a very light hand on many occasions, especially when blending. Very light, sometimes I drop the brush. Hope that helps.
